Field guide 01

Know the rules before the clock starts.

Each maze gives you one Sunday-to-Saturday run. The timer begins only when you choose Enter maze, and it pauses when you pause, switch away, or ask the game to read your status.

  1. Earn 210 points

Each day has a gate-near token worth 10 points and a gate-far token worth 25. They collect automatically, adding to both This run and Lifetime collected.

  2. Move deliberately

Focus the board, then use arrow keys or WASD. On touch screens, use the four rectangular direction buttons: Left and Right flank the stacked Up and Down buttons.

  3. Reach the WayStone

Collect all 14 tokens for +35 points. The WayStone does not open early. When the week ends, you have 60 active seconds to reach it, save the run, and open a paused new maze.

Every shift, kept in view.

Seven weekday configurations will appear when the maze is ready. Choose a day to inspect its gates without hiding the others.

    Accessibility

The entire game works by keyboard. Focus remains visible, the board reports your row, column, and open paths, and T pauses the timer before reading status.

    • Motion effects stop when your device requests reduced motion.
    • The timer pauses on demand and whenever the page loses focus.
    • Four large, individually labeled rectangular buttons form the touch direction control.
    • Mobile play is optimized for portrait mode; landscape remains functional but may require vertical scrolling on shorter screens.
    • This prototype does not include an untimed mode.

    Privacy

The game saves one record in this browser: maze code, position, timer, weekday, token progress, current run score, lifetime collected, and highest run. It stays on this device until you clear it.

Maze uses no accounts, cookies, analytics, advertising, remote fonts, or third-party game services. Opening Support leaves Maze and makes a normal request to the SyllvanicDevelopments website.

Current maze codes use the address fragment, which is not sent to the host. Older ?seed= links may appear in ordinary hosting logs, so maze codes should never contain personal information.

Clearing starts the current run over and removes Lifetime collected, Highest run, and all other Maze progress on this device. It does not affect anything outside Maze.

    Clear saved progress?

This starts the current run over and deletes every Maze score saved by this browser. It cannot affect any other site or account.
